Chronic Pain

Although chronic pain is the most frequently cited reason for provider visits, with thousands of specialist pain clinics across the US, we still know very little about the response to pain therapy in the medium to long term. The purpose of the chronic pain management platform, developed by Dr Paul C Langley, Director, Maimon Research is to have a tool that can be adapted by specialist pain practices and other providers to track response to therapy. With input from both patients and providers the management platform provides real time feedback on patient response. It includes red flag warnings for opioid risk, as a major pain therapy, assessing opioid utilization and therapy response for 11 defined body locations. It also provides a platform for practices to increase reimbursement for the time spent with patients so that more resources can be devoted to pain management.
